To commemorate the launch of my blog Hip-Hop R&B Junkie, it's only right that I shed light on the gentleman who suggested and encouraged me to start this project, and for that I not only thank him but I owe him the utmost gratitude for seeing something in me that he thought was worthy enough to showcase : my love and respect for the music game.
So not only do I feel obligated to return the favor, but he's well deserving of the same kind of recognition, so my first Unsigned Artist of the Week Post goes to none other than:
I-KNOW BRASCO

I-KNOW BRASCO
Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the man affectionately known in the streets as I-KNOW is no stranger to the Hip-Hop Scene, who's been rapping since '99. While mainstream America has yet to be formally introduced to his work, if you know him, or if you've ever had a chance to hear any of his tracks, you would know that he's a force to be reckoned with. Having released 7 Mixtapes to date
( --> Da Takeover, Be Easy, I Know Brasco, I Know Brasco Vol 2 (feat DJ Paperz), BrascoMania, Backlash and Beautiful Street Muzik (dual collaboration with Stocks Skolla) <-- ) I-KNOW considers I KnowBrasco Vol.2 to be his best/ favorite work thus far because of it touched on everything and because of its well rounded content. While still in pursuit of his dreams to become a signed artist, I-KnowBrasco is also the host of his own internet radio show entitled "Trilladelphia Radio". While standing strong on the affirmation PSP (which stands for Philly Support Philly), Trilladelphia Radio was created as an outlet for mainly local Philadelphia artists like himself as well as others looking to get their music played an and showcasing their efforts. I-KnowBrasco is an extremely talented and the epitome of an underground artist. His music lyrically portrays the grind and struggle that we all face in life. Painting a picture of how life isn't always easy, however you still manage to find a sliver of happiness and hope in everyday life in midst of all the chaos, drama and pain that we are all subject to in this game of life. One to definitely look out for; his next project "SAY NO MORE" is currently in its final stages scheduled to hit the streets and the internet waves (yea they'll be a link here shortly) before the month of February is over. When asked what should people know about him he said so himself:

" I want people to know I aint just a gangsta rapper...I make relatable music. I've seen alot of shit in 24 years and I don't deny none of it... hood Shit, college Shit, living Dirt poor with no runnin water for 3 years and spendin summers at the Shore where CEO's vacay"
---So there you have it in a nutshell This isn't the last you'll hear or see this artist featured here on Hip-Hop R&B Junkie as this is a testament that I consider him one of my new favorite up&coming artists and in my opinion one of "DA EFFIN BEST" :-)
