MISS LADII'S MIXTAPE REVIEW: I-Know Brasco "Say No More"

Ok, so ummm seeing that the above pictured artist deems me as his A&R and I had a helluva lotta input on the beat selection for this mixtape, oh and because he is my bestie, one may consider this review somewhat biased, but guess what?  ( I can say what I want because this is MY BLOG) ^_^  While I am no authority, ALL of my reviews come from the heart of a music lover and I keep it 100, so if you continue to read this and think its biased (You're probably right but so what ) but Anyways.....

I-Know FINALLY drops the long awaited "Say No More" which is 27 tracks of Amazing-ness in my opinion. I don't know too many unsigned artists who have a better work ethic than him when it comes to music.  Say No More is the follow up to  his last mixtape "Beautiful Street Muzik" with Stocks Skolla which was released this past November and I'm quite pleased.  The beat selection is phenomenal, taking a host of certified bangers and doing them justice.  This project hosted by DJ Paperz and  features collaborations with Tone Trump, Stocks Skolla, Angel Zonia, R-Star and Rob Dillinger.

By far, My favorite song on here is "Scared Money" feat Stocks Skolla.  I suggested this beat to Sco and he wasn't really feelin it at first, however these two guys murdered this and I love it... Other faves include Drop the World, Bulletproof, Ha Haa and Sex Therapy.  This project has something for the ladies, something for the G's and shows the variety of him as artist and it gets my stamp of approval effortlessly. (Good Job Sco)

MISS LADII'S MIXTAPE REVIEW: Jadakiss "The Champ is Here 3"

This mixtape was supposed to drop after the Mayweather-Mosely fight on Saturday and I woke up the next morning excited to download it and it still hadn't been released yet.... Needless to say I was pissed but it was in fact released later that day so I put my anger aside.  Been waiting for some new music from Al-Qaeda since his last album "The Last Kiss".

While many expected greatness because this mixtape was presented by both DJ Green Lantern as well as DJ Drama, I honestly feel that it should've just been a standard Gangsta Grillz... I've never been fond of DJ Green Lantern's projects including previous Kiss mixtapes, but it is what it is.  In regards to the person that really mattered, I feel that Jadakiss delivered on this mixtape.  I can honestly say I enjoyed his verses on EVERY song, however my discontent arose due to the lackluster delivery of MOST of the artists he chose to collaborate with.  With the exception of D-Block (Sheek Louch and Styles P and the "ard-ness" of  Yo Gotti) I was highly dissappointed with the other features which included (Nicki Minaj, Nas, Meek Mill,  Bully, Uncle Murda, Uncle O,  LA Darkman and whoever I missed) .  Had these useless verses (in my opinion) not been on here, and thus letting Jada GO IN and murder the tracks instead, I would hale this as THEE best mixtape released this year (So far Fabolous' Gangsta Grillz:  There Is No Competition still holds this title).  I really liked "Still Hatin", "Top 5 Dead or Alive"  "Allergic To Losing"-- > Only his verse < and my fave "Somehow, Someway",  I'll say that this mixtape holds the #2  spot for Best Mixtape of the Year thus far.

(With that said, I'm ready for a D-Block Mixtape/ Album )^_^

MISS LADII'S MIXTAPE REVIEW: Olivia "Under the Radar" -

I saw this mixtape while on my quest to find Jadakiss' "The Champ is Here 3" and I was a lil excited because I'd heard a new song from her a few months back called "Walk Away" that I was blown away by so I hit the download button.

The former 1st lady of both J. Records and G-Unit Records took some time off from the music scene (here in the states) but is ready to make a mark for herself with her 2nd album "Show the World"  which is slated for release sometime this year, but in the meantime shes presents us with her "Under the Radar" mixtape.

There is no question that Olivia has an amazing voice and can sing her ass off, but in opinion  this mixtape is not a true reflection of her vocal ability by any means and left me rather dissappointed.   While she left G-Unit because she didn't like the fact that 50 and crew (label) were trying to market her as a rapper and not a singer, I expected to turn this on and hear her belting her heart out like she did in "Walk Away" but it didn't happen.

This mixtape has 11 songs and features Drake (not an official collab), Serani and Sean Kingston but the only song out of these 3 collaboration that kept my attention was "Rub You Up" (feat. Serani).   While I did like "Take it Off" Remix, "Never Too Far" and the "Rub You Up"  the other 8 tracks  really did nothing for me.

I've liked Olivia since I first heard "Bizounce" back in 2001, but I hope she goes back to the drawing board for her second album and find a sound that works for her, which in my opinion is ballads and true R&B.  I feel like she's gotten lost in the shuffle while being on G-Unit and I'm just waiting for her to get that "breakthrough" song that'll truly show the world what she's capable of. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her next album. (BTW I hope "Walk Away" and "Chaise Electrique" *although the only part i understand is her singing her ass off in English lol*  make the album)
